Unfair Fare Increase

Introduction: What happened, what will happen. Questions

Para 1: What happened - more detail, who will be effected, where is it

Para 2: Public response, why did it happen? When?

Conclusion: What are people going to do to fix it, long term effects, will it happen again?

Unfortunately for many people there has been a huge increase for rail fare across the country. Some recent reports have even given exclusive information and statistics that warn its the largest rail fare increase since 2013.

Obviously this national crisis is going to effect a huge percentage of the population. "Every year, 1.7 billion people travel by rail" meaning that this problem will cause a negative impact on 1.7 billion people every year. This means that there is not only a huge chance that you will be effected by this problem there is a a large chance you will be effected by this regularly. This isn't even a contained issue. Rail services across all of the United Kingdom have blown up their fares by more than 50% in the last 6 months. So what is everyone going to do about it?

As you can imagine this news hasn't been taken lightly. It has been less than 24 hours since this has hit headlines and already thousands of furious rail customers have phone, emailed and shouted for change. You can't walk five yards in London anymore without hearing somebody protest about the unfair fare increase of 2018. Clearly with this kind of response there are some questions. Why did this actually happen? Who allowed the prices to get so high? these are just some of the questions that have been popping up all over social media in the last day. So far there has been no recognition of the problem by prominent figures in the rail industry.
